The fans weren't whistling Dixie!
At the climatic end to the Philly game the other evening, a posse of sports reporters descended on the Giants sizzling hot baseball pitcher - Tim Lincecum - for a direct quote on a phenomenon that was perplexing 'em throughout the frenzied night under a romantic canopy of stars.
"What's with all the whistling, Tim," a reporter quizzed.
Of course, he referring to the wolf whistles that continued to emanate from the bleachers Lincecum's way - on the pitcher's mound - throughout the entire game on Philly turf.
A news anchor chuckled, and threw in his own two cents worth, as the newsies waited for the celebrated ball player's response.
"They're kind-a like those 'ya hear at construction sites when a babe strolls by."
The long-haired ball-player - with the delicate porcelain features - laughed heartily as he uttered up the quote of the day.
"I guess it's because I have a pretty butt or something," he beamed tongue-in-cheek.
The reporters roared.
Just betcha, the high-profile athlete's response will be rustling up a sponsor's call from either Calvin Klein or Giorgio Armani to model a sexy pair of tightie-whities in the near future!
